ISA Hamilton is pleased to announce that it participated in the 2016 ISA Spring Leaders Meeting in June 2016. Section past-president Graham Nasby traveled to Raleigh, North Carolina in early-June 2016, to participate in several committees, workshops and planning sessions to chart the future direction of the ISA as a whole.
As an international technical association, the ISA has over 120 sections and 17 technical divisions located throughout the world. As a society, the ISA holds semiannual Spring and Fall Leaders Meeting where it conducts society-level business and develops the strategic goals of the worldwide organization.
ISA Hamilton has a strong tradition of having members who are involved with the governance of the ISA as a whole. At present, ISA Hamilton member Graham Nasby is the sitting VP-elect of Industries Sciences and co-chair of the ISA18 Working Group 7 standards committee on alarm management. Other ISA Hamilton members who have been involved with ISA internationally include Michael Bovenkamp, Brent Killins, Ken Hamilton, Jerry Gelata, and Bob Popek.
