ISA Hamilton is pleased to report that it had three leaders attend the ISA’s Fall Leaders Meeting, recently held on Oct 28-Nov 2, 2017 in Tampa, Florida, USA. That is: ISA Hamilton volunteer leaders Kostas Apostolou, Brent Killins, and Graham Nasby.
Taking place at the Grant Hyatt Hotel, overlooking Tampa Bay, the event brought together some 600 ISA leaders from around the world. At the meetings, the various boards in the ISA’s governance structure met, standards committee meetings were held, and the annual Council of Society Delegates (CSD) meeting took place. The weekend also featured the society-level 56th annual Honours and Awards Gala on Sunday, oct 29.
At the CSD, ISA Hamilton was represented by our section president Kostas Apostolou.
Also attending were two ISA Hamilton volunteers who are involved with ISA at the International Level. Brent Kills, our ISA Hamilton Treasurer, attended as part of his duties as District-VP-elect for Eastern Canada. Graham Nasby, our section webmaster, also attended part of his role as current VP-elect for Industries and Sciences at the Society level.
While in Tampa, Brent also attended several planning meetings as a member the ISA’s publications department.
Graham also chaired a full-day meeting on Monday Oct 30 for tje ISA112 SCADA Systems Standards Committee, which he co-leads along with fellow Canadian Ian Verhappen. While at the FLM, Graham also attended meeting for the ISA18 Alarm management and ISA101 HMI Design standards committee, as a voting member of both committees.
ISA Hamilton Section is pleased to continue it’s tradition of having volunteer leaders who continue to be actively involved with the ISA at an international level.
