ISA Hamilton held its 2022 Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Wed, Jun 1, 2022 at 6pm Eastern.
The AGM was held online using the virtual Zoom platform, and about a dozen ISA Hamilton members attended.
At the meeting we heard a report on the section’s activities in 2021-2022, and the challenges of doing online programming in the face of the lengthy covid-19 pandemic. We also then some some great discussions about potential new volunteer leaders for the coming 2022-2023.
We are happy to report that Nate Terbrack, of JNE Engineering, has stepped forward to be our newly elected Section Vice-President. Nate presented his draft plan for re-invograting the section to returning to in-person events in the Fall of 2022. Through our section elections process, Nate will be our section Vice-President for the next two years. The plan is for Nate to become Section President in the summer of 2024. As Nate is a new volunteer leader to our section, our section bylaws require that Nate serve on our executive for 1-2 years prior to taking on the role of section president. Everyone in attendance mentioned how they are looking forward to working with Nate for the years to come.
Thus, we are pleased to announce the new officers of ISA Hamilton section for 2022-2023 will be:
- President – Graham Nasby
- Vice-President – Nate Terbrack
- Treasurer: Kostas Apostolou
- Secretary: Michael Bovenkamp
As part of AGM we also welcomed longtime ISA volunteer Peter Baker, who gave a talk entitled “Giving Presentations….Successfully!”. As special extra we also got to hear about a number of interesting projects that Peter has been involved with during his 40+ career in the automation business.
